Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.
The Institutional Lending team is part of IB&M Technology, working in close partnership with the business to deliver digital experiences and business value that improve the institutional lending end-to-end customer journey. With in-house and COTS applications combined with laser focus on APIs and integration services investment, we are creating moments that matter to our customers.
As an Engineering Manager you’ll lead a team of Engineers, cultivating a growth mindset, and supporting creative and innovative ways of working. You’ll drive engineering global best practice and standards, technical roadmaps and reduction in technical debt, coach and support engineers, establish peer-to-peer learning / mentoring and assure the creation of engineering outcomes.
We value connecting as a team, usually coming into the office two to three days per week. We’re open to people based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide.

Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
  • APIs (REST, SOAP, XML).
  • Cloud technologies and micro services (AWS desirable)
  • .Net Core
  • Scripting/programming languages (i.e. JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, C#, Go, Python, Java)
